Adam Levine Performs “Purple Rain”- An AWESOME Tribute to Prince

The passing of pop legend Prince left the world in mourning. Many of the music industry’s biggest stars were left shocked and devastated by the news. He was a musical inspiration to many of them.

Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, took the news especially hard.

Way back on Howard Stern’s Birthday Bash special a few years ago, Adam and the members of the group train performed Prince’s “Purple Rain”. They totally rocked it!

The performance carries a whole new significance to it now that the singer has tragically passed onto the next life.

Details are still unclear about the exact cause of his death. He had not been feeling well for quite some time, and was found unresponsive in an elevator last week. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He will be missed, but I know his music will live on. Rumor has it that he had a whole vault full of music that was never released so we may very well be hearing a lot of “new” music released too!
