Have you ever had that craving for apple pie but been stuck because you just didn’t have the time? These Apple Pie Fries are the perfect solution!
What you need:
1 can apple pie filling
1 Pillsbury pie crust
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Sparkling sugar (optional)
Whip cream (optional)
Caramel topping (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl, beat egg and set aside.
Take one pie crust and lay it on flour-covered board.
Blend pie filling in food processor on pulse until mixed well.
Spread pie mixture over crust.
Place another Pillsbury pie crust over the mixture. Use pizza slicer or sharp knife to cut pie into fry strips. Using a flat spatula, lift the pieces up and place them on the cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with egg wash. In another bowl, pour a 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, mix it all together and sprinkle the sugar mixture over the strips. You can then add sparkling sugar and place in the oven.
Bake 15-20 minutes.
Yu can dip them in whip cream or caramel. ENJOY!!!!
